Wailuku River

Square

The second largest river in the state is located on the Big Island, it is called the Wailuku River. Although it’s only the second largest river in Hawaii, it does in fact have the largest water discharge of any river in the state at an average of 180 million gallons / day. This river runs 32 miles from Mauna Kea through Hilo side and finally to the ocean, I personally suggest seeing the Wailuku River from the sensational Rainbow Falls Lookout.
